As reported yesterday morning, it has now been confirmed that Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand has joined Turkish side Bursaspor on loan.
The former England U21 International has moved on a loan until the end of the season, with a view to making the transfer a permanent one during the summer.
The twenty-seven year old was told he wasn’t part of Manager Harry Redknapp’s plans going forward, with his last Permier League start coming on Boxing Day in a 2-1 home loss to West Bromwich Albion.
His final straw came on Saturday where he put in a hopeless display making countless errors in a humiliating 4-2 home loss to League 1 side MK Dons in the FA Cup.
He has been coveted in the press over the past year which has hindered his performances, due to the alleged racial abuse he received from Chelsea captain John Terry.
Ferdinands move to Turkey could be the fresh start he needs in his career, and will join up with former West Brom and England goalkeeper Scott Carson at the Bursa Ataturk Stadium.
