Barnsley are to announce the signing of former Ipswich Town striker Jason Scotland tomorrow.
The former Trinidad and Tobago International left Portman Road last week, after agreeing to contract settlement with the Tractor Boys enabling him to look for pastures new.
The thirty three year old came to prominence after moving from SPL side St Johnstone to Swansea City where he played a part in the transformation of the Liberty Stadiun outfit under the guidance of now Wigan manager Roberto Martinez
He then joined Ipswich in the summer of 2010 on a two-year contract and has gone on to make almost 100 appearances for the club.
Under the new management at Oakwell of David Flitcroft following Keith Hill's sacking last month, the club have been in impressive form, winning three of their last four games, picking up 7 points from 9 in their quest for Championship survival.
Scotland will put pen to paper tomorrow after undergoing a medical, and will help fill the void left from striker Craig Davies who joined Bolton recently in a £300,000 deal.
