Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal has been the subject of an incredible €57m bid from Inter Milan, however, the Nerazzurri have been told they won't be signing the 30-year-old due to his previous connection with Serie A champions Juventus.
Vidal left Juventus in 2015, joining Bayern Munich for over £30m. The midfielder spent four years in Turin where he became known worldwide as one of the most dominating midfielders in Europe, earning the nickname Il Guerriero (the Warrior). Vidal now seems set to accept a pay cut to extend his stay in Bavaria, according to Football Italia, with his current deal set to expire in 2019.
Inter Milan are currently playing transfer catch up with their city rivals who have already completed the signing of seven players this summer, Atalanta's Andrea Conti being the latest arrival at the San Siro.
Inter's Ivan Perišić has been heavily linked with a move away from Italy this summer, with Manchester United boss José Mourinho mulling over a move for the Croatian winger after seeing a £36m bid rejected by the Serie A club.
Vidal was most recently on display in the Confederations Cup where his Chile side was eventually beaten by Germany in the final of the competition.
Hertha BSC star Mitchell Weiser scored the only goal of the game, however, an on-field bust-up between Vidal and his Bayern Munich teammate Joshua Kimmich was the main talking point from the 90 minutes.
