Blackpool have this afternoon completed the loan signing of Nottingham Forest striker Matt Derbyshire until the end of the season.
The 26-year old has spent most of this season at League 1 side Oldham Athletic under the guidance of Manager Paul Dickov. He has scored four goals in ten games at Boundary Park, and now will form part of the Tangerines side who are currently without a Manager.
In his younger years at Blackburn Rovers, he looked a real prospect with his natural goal scoring ability to be heading for the top until a move to Olympiacos in Greece seemed to derail his progress, being used sparingly during his time there.
Since then he has spent time at Birmingham City and Nottingham Forest in trying to reproduce his best form when he was playing in the Premier League a few years ago.
The former England U21 International could make his deal permanent during the summer, and will replace the outgoing Nouha Dicko and Wes Thomas who have both finished loan spells at Bloomfield Road and returned to their parent clubs.
