Stoke City are set to finally land their man in the form of FC Dallas midfielder Brek Shea.
After Tony Pulis ruled out a move for the player last week due to not being able to agree a fee with his parent club, it has now been announced that the winger will travel to Stoke today.
The midfielder has already spent time on trial at The Britannia this month, and news of him flying over will be great news to Stoke City fans, as a deal looks close to being done.
It will take a fee of around £3 million to bring the American International to England from current side FC Dallas who play in the MLS.
The lanky winger has played fifteen times for his country at the slender age of 22, and has played in the MLS for the past 5 years, making just shy of 100 appearances during his time.
Manager Tony Pulis is hoping the arrival of Shea will help improve the clubs recent form where they have lost their last two, and failed to win in the Premier League for five games.
FC Dallas confirmed on their official website:
'We have received interest from a number of European clubs regarding Brek Shea. Brek is traveling there this evening and as a result, he will not be in attendance at training tomorrow.
'Currently, there is no deal in place with any club and we have no further details at this time.'
