As mentioned last night on @TFootballFamily, Etienne Capoue yesterday passed a medical at Tottenham and today completed his move for a fee believed to be in the region of around £9 Million.
Capoue joins Spurs from french side Toulouse, who last season finished in 10th place in Ligue 1. There he made 174 appearances, scoring 13 goals. Capoue has also won 7 caps for the French National side. He can play as a defensive midfielder, or a centre-back.
He becomes Spurs fourth signing of this window after the signings of Paulinho, Nacer Chadli and Roberto Soldado.
It is believed Spurs will continue to look to bolster their defence following injuries to Jan Vertonghen and Younes Kaboul, leaving them short at the back.
The signing of Capoue could also mean the departure of Scott Parker, who has been subject to interest from Queens Park Rangers during this window, with Harry Redknapp thought to be very keen to tempt the midfielder to Loftus Road.
