Champions League Preview

The Champions League is back once again with Spain vs Germany Round 2 for a place at Wembley for the winners of both ties.

The Germans came out comprehensive winners in the first legs, with Bayern Munich demolishing Barcelona 4-0 at the Alianz Arena, and Borussia Dortmund comfortably dispatching Real Madrid 4-1 with a four goal haul by Polish striker Robert Lewandowski.

The first of the return legs is at the Bernabeu where the Galacticos look to overturn a three goal deficit. Madrid were victorious on the weekend as they beat local rivals Atletico Madrid, to give them much needed confidence going into this game.

Cristiano Ronaldo has shaken off an injury scare to be available for tonight's game, and they will need all the attacking options they have to see off a Dortmund side, who carved open Real at will last Wednesday Evening.

The second of the Semi Final ties takes place Tommorrow night at the Camp Nou, with Barcelona and a slightly fitter Lionel Messi looks to overturn the impossible and knock Bayern Munich out of the Champions League.

After a four nil loss last Tuesday Evening, it looks a very tall order to progress, although if any side could do it, it is Barcelona.

Alex Song looks set to replace the injured Sergio Busquets in midfield, and Villanova will look to put out the strongest attacking side he can to create the chances to give them hope of a miracle.

I believe Real Madrid could have the stronger chance this evening after gaining an away goal last week, although both ties look all over to me, especially with the Spanish sides reluctance to defend.

Real Madrid 2 - Borussia Dortmund 1
Barcelona 2 - Bayern Munich 2
