Barcelona striker David Villa has been admitted to hospital tonight with kidney stones according to a club statement. He is doubtful for Saturday’s game against Granada.

 

Neil Lennon has warned Italian champions Juventus not to underestimate his Celtic side ahead of their Champions League meetings. Celtic are aiming to become the first Scottish side to qualify for the quarter-finals of Europe’s top club competition, and Lennon said there is a feeling around the club that anything can happen.

 

Alex Ferguson has admitted he planned to make seven changes for the game against Everton, but following Manchester City’s loss at Southampton he saw this as an opportunity to stretch the lead over their title rivals. He now concedes that the title is theirs to lose.
