Daily Football Round-Up Wednesday 30th January

As we look forward to another bonus night of Premier League football, and the Match of The Day that follows, clubs have been in overdrive trying to sort out those last minute deals in time for tomorrows deadline day.

Everton have pulled out of the deal to bring Leroy Fer to the club after the FC Twente midfielder failed his medical today. A knee problem was detected that the club feared would turn into a recurring injury…think Ledley King.

Meanwhile Liverpool have completed the signing of Philippe Coutinho from Inter Milan. The fee hasn’t yet been disclosed but it is believed the Brazilian has signed a long term deal at the Merseyside club.

Leeds and Norwich are locked in talks regarding a swap deal that would see Luciano Becchio move to the premier League club and Steve Morison move the other way.

Mario Balotelli has today completed his move to AC Milan and has revealed his delight at the move. He has signed a contract that will keep him at Milan until 2017, providing a fall out doesn’t lead to an earlier departure.

It appears Stoke City are making enquiries for Jack Butland after the goalkeeper turned down a move to Chelsea. It’s almost refreshing to think a player might choose first team football over money.

QPR have had a bid accepted for Christopher Samba today, with many believing the bid to trigger a release clause in the player’s contract. He will now fly to London to discuss personal terms and his medical should the negotiations go well.

Reading have signed Nick Blackman from Sheffield United for an undisclosed fee. Brian McDermott has said he is happy to have signed a player who “had options to go elsewhere.”

The Football Family will have all the transfer news as it happens on deadline day. No rumours and speculation, just real news. So check back regularly.
