Borussia Dortmund have completed the signing of Werder Bremen defender Sokratis Papasthathopoulos from Bundesliga rivals Werder Bremen.
The player, who has arguably one of the longest names in world football, can play anywhere along the back four and is highly regarded in Germany's top flight.
The 24-year old has penned a five year contract with the former Bundesliga champions for a fee just over £8 million.
Offical confirmation from his new side will come shortly, after losing in the Champions League final 2-1 to newly crowned Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich at Wembley last night.
A picture of Papasthathopoulos has already been leaked onto social media network Twitter, and his agent Kostas Farras has confirmed the deal is done in an interview with WAZ:
"It's all signed. My client is now a Dortmund player and looking forward to BVB, coach Jurgen Klopp, the stadium and the fans."
The Greece International will replace the outgoing centre back Felipe Santana who has agreed a move to Schalke 04 this summer.
