Norwich City Manager Chris Hughton has confirmed the club are looking at Sporting Kansas striker Kei Kamara with only a week to go until the end of the January Transfer Window.
The 28-year old has spent his whole career playing in America, and recently had a trial at Stoke City in December, although the Potters didn't follow up their interest in the player.
The Canaries have clearly been searching for an addition to their forward line with an offer rejected for Swansea City striker Danny Graham, and two offers for Celtic's Gary Hooper.
It isn't known whether Hughton will make an increased offer for Hooper in light of his rejection of a new contract, but it does look likely Kamara, a Sierra Leone International will join the club before the end of the window.
Hughton confirmed at the clubs press conference today: "Kei is a player we have made inquiries about, but any progress remains behind close doors."
