Liverpool agree Coutinho deal

Liverpool have this afternoon agreed a fee for Inter Milan midfielder Phillipe Coutinho according to reliable reports from Italy.

The Premier League side have been pushing forward with this deal over the last few days, due to Southampton showing interest with new Manager Mauricio Pochettino taking the Brazilian on loan to his former club Espanyol last season.

The twenty year old had originally stated he was happy with life at the San Siro, though his preference is a move to Anfield if a move to England became possible, and after two previous offers being rejected, Liverpool have finally matched the clubs valuation which is just under the £10 million mark.

The player is set to travel to Anfield on Monday to undergo a medical with Brendan Rodgers side and to finalise personal terms ahead of the pending transfer deadline on Thursday evening.

The Liverpool Manager confirmed he wasn't finished in the transfer market on Friday:

"The owners have been brilliant and supporting. We know we still need one or two additions more. The club is doing everything it possibly can to assist me in that. If we can, great. If not, we'll have to review it again in the summer."
