Liverpool’s managing director Ian Ayre has said that the club have no intention to sell Luis Suarez this summer. According to reports in his home country of Uruguay, Suarez was quoted saying that he would consider offers from other clubs in the summer, with Real Madrid and Chelsea being the clubs interested in making an offer for the striker, even if Liverpool have said that he is not for sale. Suarez has been one of the stand out performers for Liverpool this season, scoring 29 goals in 40 appearances for the Reds this season

Norwich City have reportedly agreed a deal with Sporting Lisbon to sign their Dutch striker RickyVan Wolfswinkel in the summer. The fee agreed, is believed to be in the region of £8.5 million, which is incredibly lower than the £19 million buyout clause in his current contract. Despite Sporting’s lower than par performance in the league this season, Van Wolfswinkel has been in top form, scoring 12 goals in 27 games

Spurs and England midfielder Scott Parker has said that there is no need to be alarmed about the number of players in the current England squad who are over the age of 30. Parker, who is 32 is hoping to play the first time for England since Euro 2012 in tomorrow’s World Cup qualifier against minnows San Marino and also against Montenegro next Tuesday

Northern Ireland will be without the services of Walsall striker Will Grigg for their World Cup qualifiers against Russia and Israel. Grigg, who made his first international start against Malta last month has been in prolific form for his club this season and was expected to lead the line for Ireland in the absence of Kyle Lafferty
