Lunchtime Football Round-Up 25th April

Afternoon all,

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is considering his future in English football, after he was handed a 10-game ban for his bite on Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic. Both Liverpool and Suarez have both said that they are shocked that the FA have added another seven games to his mandatory three-game ban. Interest in Suarez was already high with some top european clubs, but this latest incident has alerted more clubs such as Bayern Munich, Athletico Madrid and Juventus

Chelsea's interim manager Rafa Benitez believes that his work at the London club has been good and also thinks that his time at the Blues will help him find a new job in the Summer when he leaves the club. Since being appointed in November of last year, Benitez hasn't had the best of relationships with the Chelsea fans as the clubs somewhat poor performance on the pitch has seen them without silverware in the Premier League, Champions League, League Cup and FA Cup. The clubs only chance of claiming any sort of silverware is if they win the Europa League

Sticking with Chelsea, defenders Ashley Cole and Gary Cahill are both available for their Europa League semi-final first leg against Swiss side FC Basel tonight. Cole has recovered from a hamstring strain that he suffered in the FA Cup quarter final victory over Manchester United earlier on this month, while Cahill has been declared fit after he underwent minor knee surgery at the end of last month

Manchester City midfielder James Milner is confident that he will be fit to face West Ham this weekend, despite him suffering a minor hamstring injury in the defeat to Tottenham last Sunday. Milner was replaced at half time during the 3-1 loss, but his recovery has been good and is expected to play some part in the game this weekend

Sunderland striker Danny Graham has admitted that he has been a flop since his January move from fellow Premier League side Swansea. Graham is yet to score for the Black Cats in the nine games he's played for them. But Graham is hoping that new manager Paolo Di Canio can help him change his form around for the remainder of this season

Manchester City winger is hoping that he is able to go out on loan next season if current manager Roberto Mancini is still in charge. Sinclair's chances at the Etihad have been limited since his move from Swansea last Summer. West Brom have emerged as favourites to acquire the services of the formerEngland U-21 international

Middlesbrough have agreed to cancel the contract of Argentinian midfielder Julio Arca, and he is now returning to his homeland to recover from a toe injury

Barnet have confirmed that striker Steve Kabba has left the club by mutual consent mainly down to the fact that he has been out for the majority of the season with a knee injury

Burton Albion midfielder Jack Dyer looks set to miss the clubs Play-off campaign after he tore his ankle ligaments during the clubs 1-0 defeat to Bradford last weekend
