Lunchtime Round-Up 18th February

According to Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, Shinji Kagawa will become a better player last season. Since joining United for £17 milion in the summer from German champions Borussia Dortmund, Kagawa has only made 16 appearances and hasn't really made as much of an impact as first thought. But Sir Alex Ferguson hasn't yet given up hope, he thinks that Kagawa needs time to adapt to the Premier League and in time, he will become a better player

Liverpool striker Fabio Borini will be out for the rest of the season after he injured his shoulder in yesterdays 5-0 thrashing fo Swansea. Borini is another player who hasn't made that much of an impact this year, having only scored one goal in 16 games for the Reds since his move from Italian side Roma last summer

Roberto Mancini has said that he is currently the best manager in England and he does not fear getting sacked by Manchester City, even though they are currently 12 points behind Manchester United in the Premier League and it looks almost impossible for them to catch up now. And for a team like City, coming in 2nd or 3rd would be classed as a failure. Mancini has been with City since 2009 and since then he has  won both the FA Cup and the Premier League once

Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard has said that he is still determined and that he wants to become Manchester United's number one goalkeeper. But in his time at United so far, Lindegaard has classed it as a success even though he has only made 24 appearances in this time mainly down to the signing of David De Gea from Athletico Madrid

Phil Jagielka has said that the Everton players are powerless over any decision about the future of manager David Moyes. Moyes current contract is set to expire at the end of the season and Moyes has already admitted that he will not be opening talks over a new contract until the end of the season. There have been many rumours that Moyes is a target for Chelsea, in a deal which would see him become permanent manager

Stoke City defender Marc Wilson is set to make a return for the side this weekend against Fulham after being out for four months with a broken leg. Wilson had been one of the better performers in the early stages of the season, playing 10 times before his leg break in October

Arsenal are preparing a shock £10 million bid for Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes in the summer. Barcelona have told Valdes that he can leave in the summer, but only if they can get £10 million for him

Southampton are stalling over contract talks with midfielder Jason Puncheon which has alerted Newcastle and West Ham, who are both believed to be preparing Summer bids for him

Leeds United manager Neil Warnock has admitted that his reign as Leeds boss will be over if he fails to win promotion to the Premier League this season. Leeds are currently 12th in the Cmahpionship, and lie 8 points off of the play-offs with 15 matches left to go. Warnock's future has already been questioned in recent weeks, as Nigel Adkins has emerged as a strong contender to become the Leeds boss if Warnock were to get sacked

Keith Harris has made another bid for League One side Portsmouth, and this time has offered the fans a free 15% stake in the club. Harris has also said that he will buy Fratton Park off of Balram Chanrai within a year, if his bid to buy the club succeeds
