All rumours suggesting that Chelsea were set to sign Birmingham goalkeeper Jack Butland have now been denied as the young goalkeeper has said that he does not want to go to Chelsea because he would rather play regular first team football than sit on the bench. Chelsea don’t find themselves struggling at the moment for goalkeepers as they have Petr Cech, Ross Turnbull, Hilario and one to watch out for in the future, Thibaut Courtois who is currently on loan at Athletico Madrid

Fulham are set to sign AC Milan midfielder Urby Emanuelson on loan for the remainder of the season. The Dutch international has found it very hard to break into the first team this season and has slowly slipped down the pecking order at the San Siro. Emanuelson, who joined Milan in 2011 has stated that someone of his age needs to play week in week out to develop as a footballer

Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton who is currently on loan at Liga BBVA side Mallorca until the end of the season has said that he would relish an extended stay at the club. Hutton had not made a single appearance for Villa this term, but earlier on in the season he was loaned out to Championship side Nottingham Forest and made seven appearances whilst he was there

According to Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas, new signing Lewis Holtby is “the bargain of the century” Spurs were set to sign the German midfielder in the summer, but decided to push the deal forward to January in a deal that was reportedly worth £1.5 million

Anzhi Makhachkala manager has confirmed that defender Christpoher Samba is on his way to England to undergo transfer talks. It has been rumoured in the past couple of days that QPR were interested in bringing the Congo international back to the Premier League and are the most likely destination for Samba at this current moment in time

West Ham are close to completing a move for Blackburn goalkeeper Paul Robinson with West Ham keeper Stephen Henderson going the other way. Robinson has found himself not playing regularly at Ewood Park this season as young keeper Jake Kean has taken his place

QPR have also been given permission to talk to Stoke City striker Peter Crouch over a possible transfer. Current QPR manager Harry Redknapp seems to be a huge fan of Crouch as he has previously managed him at Portsmouth, Southampton and Tottenham. But Crouch hasn’t hinted at all that he wants to leave the Britannia Stadium, so there is still a long way to go if this deal is to happen

Norwich City are set to complete the signing of Sierra Leone striker Kei Kamara from American side Sporting Kansas subject to him gaining a work permit. Nowrich boss Chris Hughton has been trying to add to his attack all January and has already failed in trying to sign Celtic striker Gary Hooper
