Kieron Dyer has today been released from QPR after the club decided to activate a clause within his contract. Dyer had only made eight appearances for QPR since joining the club in 2011 and manager Harry Redknapp said that Dyer was no longer required to play for the club

Also, defender Ryan Nelsen is set to leave the club after agreeing to take over as manager of Toronto FC who currently play in the MLS. Nelsen who signed for QPR last season from Tottenham played a big part in their survival in the Premier League last season, and has also been very valuable this season as well playing on 21 occasions

Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has ended all speculation of David Villa joining Arsenal in January by releasing a statement saying that "David Villa is ours and we need him". Arsenal have already got rid of Morrocan striker Marouane Chamakh in January and it has been said that Wenger was a keen admirer of the Spanish international, but it looks as though he will have to look elsewhere for a new striker now

Aston Villa goalkeeper Shay Given has said that the clubs cup success has been the only thing that has stopped him from leaving the club. Given has found it hard to get into the Villa first team this season after his place was taken by American Brad Guzan who has put in some fantastic performances for them this season. But Given is set to start tonights Capital One Cup game against Bradford

Chelsea are planning on activating Marouane Fellaini's £22 million buyout clause in his Everton contract this month. Chelsea have been interested in the Belgian midfielder for a couple of months now and they are expected to make a bid in the coming weeks

Yesterday I brought you news about Chelsea trying to sign Brazilian midfielder Taison from Ukranian side Metalist Kharkiv and that Chelsea faced competition from an un named team, well this team has been confirmed as Manchester City who are planning on equalling Chelsea's £11 million bid for him

Sunderland are hoping that they are able to complete a £4 million move for Swansea striker Danny Graham this week. Graham has been in good form this season, scoring 6 goals in 18 appearances for the Swans

Port Vale have signed striker Lee Hughes until the end of the season after his contract was mutually terminated by old club Notts County. But as one comes in, one goes out. Gareth Owen has left the club after his contract was mutually terminated

Portsmouth have recalled defender Dan utler from his loan spell at Havant & Waterlooville, the main reason behind this is that Portsmouth have released five players in the last two days including captian Brian Howard

Bury have extended their loan deal for Leeds United midfielder Zac Thompson until the end of the season
