Liverpool are closing in on the double signing of Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge and Blackpool winger Thomas Ince. It is believed that Sturridge will cost around £12 million, whilst Ince will be costing around £6 million

Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has accepted a two week fine from the club and has also dropped his case. Balotelli had originally taken the club to court over the fine he was given because of a poor disciplinary record

Arsenal captain Thomas Vermaelen has said that he wants striker Theo Walcott to stay at the club and he believes that the English international is 'invaluable' for the side. This season Walcott has scored 11 goals in all competitions

Chelsea interim manager Rafa Benitez is currently in talks with with technical director Michael Emenalo over possible signings that The Blues could make this January. One of the names that keeps popping up is that of Athletico Madrid striker Falcao who could potentielly cost the club up to £48 million

Staying with Chelsea, Rafa Benitez has not guaranteed that midfielder Frank lampard will be offered a new contract. The 34-year-old is out of contract this summer and there have been rumours saying that QPR, Arsenal and Monaco have been interested in signing him

Wigan's Spanish defender Adrian Lopez could be out of action for up to ten weeks with a hamstring injury. The club is currently waiting on the results of a scan he had on the injury

QPR talisman Adel Taarabt has said to manager Harry Redknapp that he wants to play for Morocco in the African Cup Of Nations in January. The tournament runs from January 19th-February 2nd
