La Liga duo Barcelona and Real Madrid are interested in signing Roma defender Kostas Manolas, according to his agent.
Manolas has been linked with a summer exit from Italian side Roma after an impressive run of performances last season and interest from a number of European clubs has materialised.
Whilst Premier League interest from Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea was first reported – it was then silenced as a move to Russian Premier League side Zenit St. Petersburg was agreed.
A fee in the region of £30m was said to have been agreed but a mentioned five-year deal at the club was then canceled for unknown reasons.
It later emerged that Manolas did not turn up for his medical at the Russian club and that he was hoping for a move elsewhere.
That has led Barcelona and Real Madrid to join interested clubs and discuss his availability.
And, that interest has been confirmed by the Greek international’s agent, Ioannis Evangelopoulos.
“Inter could be an interesting option, the same as Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus are,” he told Tuttomercatoweb. “There are many teams that have spoken to us.”
