The Tiger’s will welcome Chelsea to the KC Stadium off the back of a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool. Chelsea will hope to pick up their title challenge after three successive wins and they will want to continue this at Hull on Saturday.
If they are named victors they will climb back to first place in the Premier League table. Hull though, has the record of conceding the least amount of goals at home. It will be challenged by the deadly attacking force of Eden Hazard, Oscar and Willian.
Hull will recall many of the first team players such as Curtis Davies, Jake Livermore and Tom Huddlestone amongst others as most of them were rested due to last weeks away trip to Middlesbrough in the FA Cup.
Chelsea Manger Jose Mourinho left virtually the same side that competes in Premier League matches in the FA Cup victory over Derby County last weekend. Czech international Petr Cech will swap with Australian Mark Schwarzer in the heart of the Chelsea goal.
Hull will still remain without long term absentees: Robbie Brady, Joe Dudgeon and Sone Aluko. Sone Aluko though is continuing to make progress and maybe be back for the crunch away game at Crystal Palace.
Serbian international Branislav Ivanovic will remain out after picking up an injury against Liverpool. Frank Lampard will also miss out because of a hip problem. Striker wise Chelsea will choose between Spaniard Fernando Torres and Cameroonian international Samuel Eto’o to spearhead their attack.
