Ligue 1 side Toulouse have announced on their website this evening that key midfielder Moussa Sissoko has agreed to join Newcastle United.
The news comes after reports yesterday that the player had been suspended by the club by Chairman Olivier Sadran after letting his feelings known that he wanted a move to the Premier League side.
The Ligue 1 sides Manager Alian Casanova confirming in L'Equipe:
"The whole club shows full solidarity to that chairman's decision,"
"It is really a shame a player educated at the club could leave as free agent. His absence is big loss for the team, but that decision is logical."
The French International, who can operate as a b0x-to-box midfielder is set to arrive in Newcastle this evening to undergo a medical and agree personal terms ahead of joining for a fee believed to be around £2 million.
The player, along with the Magpies recent signing Gouffran is out of contract in the summer and they have snapped up more talent from France, for a minimal outlay once again.
His deal is set to be announced tomorrow, alongside Nancy fullback Massadio Haidara.
