Norwich City have today had an offer rejected for Celtic striker Gary Hooper.
Neil Lennon wasn’t happy the offer had been made public when questioned in his press conference today, and mentioned that the offer had been rejected, though talks were still ongoing between both clubs.
The Canaries are in the market for another striker, with recent reports linking them with a £5 million offer for Swansea City striker Danny Graham.
It is not clear whether the Premier League side will go in with another offer for the striker, with an offer in excess of £5.5 million necessary for a player who has scored almost 70 goals for the SPL side since joining from Scunthorpe United in 2010.
Chris Hughton didn’t want to be drawn on the offer when interviewed this morning, but stated: “Can we add to it (his squad)? If we are able to add some quality to what we’ve got we’d gladly do that.
“We are ambitious here. We do want to develop but it has to be in the framework of the club.”
