This morning, Norwich have announced their first summer signing in Lewis Grabban for an undisclosed fee. The London born striker has ended the summer speculation by agreeing a three-year deal with an option for a further year,  in hope of boosting City’s chances of an instant return to the Premier League.

Grabban, 26,  has caught the eye of several clubs this season having endured a very successful season at Bournemouth scoring 22 goals and finishing as the team’s top scorer. Grabban arrives at Carrow Road having scored 35 goals in 93 appearances during a two-year spell at Bournemouth and leaves the club on a good note after helping his side to a 10th place finish in the 13/14 Championship season.

In Grabban’s first interview with his new club he said: “It’s good to start a new chapter, get going again with Norwich and hopefully get promotion.

“I’ve played here before and the atmosphere’s been great, the fans are great. It’s exciting to be a part of the club now and hopefully do well for them.”

City boss Neil Adams added: “I am delighted that Lewis has put pen to paper to become my first signing. He will provide pace, intelligent movement and a high work ethic to the front line, and of course he showed in the Championship last season that he is capable of scoring a variety of different goals.

“Lewis possesses precisely the type of attitude, application and quality that I expect from my players, and I am really looking forward to integrating him into the squad.”
