Norwich City are working hard on a deal to sign Leeds United striker Luciano Becchio, which would see Steve Morison move in the opposite direction.
The Canaries are in the market for at least one striker this transfer window, after being rebuffed in their pursuit of Celtic striker Gary Hooper, and confirming an interest in Sporting Lisbon's Ricky van Wolfswinkel.
A deal appears to be close for the Whites forward, with news of the player handing in a transfer request at Elland Road last week, in the hope of earning more money elsewhere.
The twenty-nine year old's move to Carrow Road depends on Steve Morison agreeing a move to the Championship. The forward, who has been used sparingly since his move from Millwall, would command wages of around £20,000 a week, which is proving difficult for Leeds to fund.
More news on this potential swap deal is likely to be announced later on today, with Norwich forward Grant Holt also likely to leave the Premier League side if they can bring in Becchio and one other forward over the next two days.
