Former Nottingham Forest Manager Sean O'Driscoll is in talks with Barnsley regarding their vacant managerial position
O'Driscoll was sacked in December after a 4-2 win at home to Leeds United and helped guide his former side to 8th place in the Championship, and only 1 point of the playoff places.
It was revealed last night that he is in talks with the Championships bottom side, and has moved to the top of the boards shortlist after previously being linked with Kevin Blackwell and Gary Megson.
His passing philosphy which was demostrated largely with his time at Doncaster Rovers will be an eyecatching prospect for the Tykes, who sacked Manager Keith Hill last week.
It will be a difficult position to take on for O'Driscoll where he will have to pull the club away from the relegation places, and looks set to lose key striker Craig Davies, who is closing in on a £300,000 move to Bolton Wanderers.
Barnsley will look to act quickly, as Wolverhampton Wanderers are also interested in his services after sacking Stale Solbakken yesterday.
Any further updates on the situatin at Oakwell will be published on thesportsfamily-com.thesportsfamily.com as soon as we get them.
