Queens Park Rangers are looking to push through another deal this Janaury with a move for FC Porto defender Rolando.
Manager Harry Redknapp flew to Portugal yesterday to visit the player, as he looks to sign a replacement for the outgoing Ryan Nelsen who is to leave next week to join up as Manager of MLS side Toronto FC.
The Portuguese defender has played over 100 times for Porto and has a glittering list of trophies to his name winning three league titles and the Europa League to name a few.
No fee has been reported on the deal yet, with a formal offer set to be communicated in the coming days with only a week to go until the end of the transfer window.
The defender, if he decides to join the Premier League's bottom side, will join up with fellow new signings Tal Ben-Haim, Loic Remy and Yun Suk-Young at Loftus Road.
