Reading have made a club record bid for Blackpool midfielder Tom Ince.
Manager Brian McDermott confirmed in his press conference this morning that they had lodged a bid, believed to be £7 million for the former Liverpool graduate, and are awaiting news on whether this has been accepted.
Skysports had reported the offer was rejected and Reading had withdrawn their interest, although as always, their sources were incorrect, and the Madejski Stadium outfit are confident a deal can be done for the England U21 International.
Ince has been in fine form for Blackpool over the past two seasons, and has strongly been linked with a return to Liverpool, with the player being in attendance on Sunday in their 3-2 loss away to Oldham in the FA Cup.
Reading have also agreed today a deal for Sheffield United striker Nick Blackman, as the Royals look to add more quality in their bid for Premier League survival.
