Hull City have agreed a fee with Manchester United for midfielder Robbie Brady, who is currently on loan with the Championship side.
A fee of around £2 million has been accepted, and The Tigers had to act quickly after news Watford had a bid accepted on Friday afternoon for the player
The deal represents another ambitious move by the promotion hopefuls, with a deal for Sunderland midfielder David Meyler set to be completed within the next 24 hours.
The player has always favoured a move to Hull City, and once a fee was agreed this morning, which was higher than the club initially wanted to pay, Brady turned down Watfords offer, and has been at The KC Stadium today to undergo a medical and finalise personal terms.
Both players are to cost the club around £3.5 million in total, and could be presented as a double signing by Manager Steve Bruce in the near future.
