He has been linked to many clubs including Blackpool and Barnsley in recent weeks, and Sean O’Driscoll has finally chosen a new side to manage in Bristol City.
Last Monday, O’Driscoll had come out in a public statement on the Barnsley website to confirm he had pulled out the running for the job, then was later being heavily linked to Blackpool.
He has finally accepted an offer to be the New Bristol City Manager on a 12 month rolling contract.
The former Nottingham Forest manager will replace Derek McInnes who was sacked on Saturday following the Robins 0-4 home loss to promotion chasing Leicester City.
It is a big challenge to take on at Ashton Gate currently, with his new side sitting 6 points adrift of safety in the Championship relegation zone.
His philosphy of passing football could be a great implementation into his new side, and will he need to act quickly in the transfer market to ensure he can gain enough experience to pull them away from the drop.
