Sevilla eye Llorente transfer

With Sevilla looking likely to lose Steven N’Zonzi  before the end of the transfer window attention has turned to bringing in a replacement and according to Estadio Deportivo, Real Madrid’s Marcos Llorente tops the list.

Llorente spent last season on loan at Alaves and returned to Madrid in the summer with the expectation that he would finally get a chance in the first team but after he failed to make the squad for the first leg of the Super Copa it is thought that Real may be open to sending him out on loan for another year.

Obviously if N’Zonzi leaves, as is looking increasingly likely, then Sevilla will be in the market for a defensive midfielder and Llorente would be a perfect fit.

Llorente spent the summer in Poland with the Spanish under-21 side and he played well as Spain cruised to the Final before losing to Italy. He looks like he could be yet another top drawer Spanish midfielder and this move would be of benefit to both clubs and the player.

Before anything happens N’Zonzi will first have to leave the club and it seems there are a few admirers of the French man with Juventus and Arsenal the most likely buyers.

Once one of those agrees a fee with Sevilla the player will move on and then the club can get down to the business of bringing in Llorente for the season.
