Sevilla are set to complete the signing of Sporting Lisbon left-back Marvin Zeegelaar in a €3m deal, according to reports in Spain.
El Desmarque report on Wednesday morning that the 27-year-old Duthman is now set to arrive in Spain and complete his move to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
The move will see competition provided for Sergio Escudero after the Andalusian club failed to complete a move for Jordan Amavi of Aston Villa with the Frenchman failing his medical.
Sporting defender Zeegelaar can operate in the left back roll or has been tried and tested in a more advanced role on either wing.
Born in Amsterdam of Surinamese descent, Zeegelaar finished his development Ajax, making his senior debut in 2008 against Volendam in the Dutch Cup.
In January 2011, he would be loaned out to Excelsior, before moving to Espanyol on a four year deal.
His time with the Spanish club would not go well though, playing mostly for the B team, before securing a move to Turkish side Elzigspor and then Blackpool in the English Championship.
Moving to Portugal in 2014 with Rio Ave, the youngster began to find his feet and was quickly signed by Sporting, penning a three and half year deal.
