Sheffield Wednesday have confirmed the signing of striker Leroy Lita on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The former England U21 International has been frozen out at The Liberty Stadium this season, and with the impressive performances of Michu, he finds himself at the bottom of the pecking order at the Premier League side.
Michael Laudrup is happy for him to look for pastures new, and he recently spent time on loan at Championship side Birmingham City earlier in the season where he scored three goals in ten appearances for the club.
No fee has been agreed for a permanent deal at the end of the season, although if he does perform well at Hillsborough, Manager Dave Jones will look to act quickly to tie down the player.
The twenty-eight year old will go straight into The Owls squad for their forthcoming fixture against Charlton Athletic, and could help push the club away from the relegation zone.
