Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen is set to finalise a move to Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, according to SkySport - Germany's equivalent of our own Sky Sports.
In a short post on their website, the media giants say that according to 'Bild', the country's biggest tabloid newspaper (and first reporters of Mario Götze's switch to Bayern Munich), the Danish star is to become a Dortmund player following the loss of Götze to their main title rivals.
Referring to Eriksen as 'the talent', Sky mention that the 21 year-old had previously expressed his interest in joining Dortmund, runners-up in both the Bundesliga and Champions League this season, and that the Ajax man was top of the club's transfer wish list.
The article, translated from German, goes on to mention that Ajax have now given their consent for the transfer to take place as they are confident of securing a move for AZ Alkmaar attacking midfielder Adam Maher, currently impressing on international duty with the Dutch under-21 side in Israel. Maher is expected back in the Netherlands shortly, after his side bowed out of the competition with a 1-0 defeat to Italy in the semi-finals, and a switch is reportedly "on the verge" of taking place.
Neither Ajax nor Dortmund have yet to reveal any official details of the proposed transfer, while both SkySport and Bild neglected to offer anything concrete in the way of transfer fee or contract length and wage.
Developments will be reported on this site as and when they are available.
