Aston Villa fullback Stephen Warnock has agreed a move to Championship side Leeds United.
In his press conference ahead of their game versus Fulham this evening, West Ham Manager Sam Allardyce confirmed their pursuit of the former England International had come to no avail, as they had been gazumped by Neil Warnock's side who have offered the left back a long term contract to move to Elland Road.
Allardye confirmed they had initially offered him a contact until the end of the season with an option of a further year.
It is believe Warnock will travel to Elland Road today to undergo a medical, and agree personal terms with the club ahead of joining on a long term contract believed to be two and a half years.
The fullback will move on a free transfer after Aston Villa agreed to cancel the remaining six month left on his current deal.
The thirty-one year old has already spent time in the Championship this season after spending time at the Reebok Stadium with Bolton Wanderers.
