Stoke City’s Bojan Krkic is mulling over a return to La Liga with Real Betis showing interest, according to reports.
The former Barcelona man spent last season away from the Britannia Stadium with German side Mainz to gain regular playing time following omission from Mark Hughes’ starting eleven.
Having returned to pre-season training with the Premier League side – the Spaniard has been linked with a number of European clubs, including Real Betis, whose interest continues, according to Radio Marca.
The Spanish radio station has claimed that the 26-year-old has been made aware of Betis’ desire to sign him, as the Andalusian side look to bolster their attacking options with Dani Ceballos and Ruben Castro – both set to leave the club.
It is also claimed that club director Lorenzo Serra Ferrer has been an admirer of Bojan’s since he grew up in Barcelona’s La Masia and that the two have a good relationship away from football.
Bojan began his career with Barcelona, before moving out on loan to Roma and then on a permanent deal with AC Milan.
His arrival in England came at the age of 23, seeing him make 60 appearances for Stoke, scoring 15 goals in the process.
