As January looms, teams are beginning to scout targets to fill their needs. One name that is being tossed around is Chelsea and former Newcastle hitman Demba Ba. Signed only last year, Ba has struggled at Chelsea. Falling down the pecking order at forward has begun links to other clubs for the Senegalese striker.
Ba was linked away from the club this summer as well. A potential move this summer to rivals Arsenal seemed all but done but communications stalled and the move was ultimately called off. With January near there are rumors that the Gunners will rekindle their interest for the striker. Sam Allardyce and his West Ham side are also said to be pondering a bid to bring back the £7m rated forward to the Hammers who Ba played for in 2011.
A move back into regular playing time could rekindle the goal scoring form that Ba showed when he was brought to Stamford Bridge. Scoring only two goals in 18 matches for the Blues is far off from the poacher that scored 29 goals for Newcastle between 2011 and 2013. With the form of Samuel Eto'o and Fernando Torres it is hard to see Ba regaining such form at Chelsea.
Ba has been linked with multiple clubs in the Premier League there has also been interest from Turkish club Beskitas as well as AS Roma from Serie A in Italy.
With multiple suitors and lack of opportunities it would seem that Demba Ba is heading for the door come January.
