Zambian sources have stated this morning that TP Mazembe defender Stopilla Sunzu is on his way to Premier League side Reading.
The centre half has been linked with a move to England for the past few weeks, with strong suggestions he would be moving to Arsenal.
The only credible information which was confirmed by Reading, was a strong interest in the player where Manager Brian McDermott was looking to bring him over to see him in action.
After going quiet over the past week, it now appears Sunzu is on his way to Reading to undergo a four day medical with the club before flying out this Friday to meet up with his Zambian teammates in their quest to retain the African Cup of Nations in South Africa.
The report on the Zambian website mentions Sunzu will fly out to Reading today, so we should hear more information shortly.
The Zambian International, 23 will cost a fee believed to be £3 million and would be Readings 4th January signing.
TP Mazembe president Moses Katumbi stated: "Indeed, Sunzu is heading to Reading for tests after the agreement by TP Mazembe and the Zambia Federation"
"He just sent us a message in which he thanked the club"
