Villarreal accept Fenerbahce offer for Soldado
Villarreal have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Turkish giants Fenerbahce over the sale of Roberto Soldado.
The 32-year-old striker will depart Estadio de la Ceramica after two years and with just one year remaining on his current contract.
Villarreal announced this afternoon that they have reached an agreement to sell Roberto Soldado to Fenerbahce subject to contract details and a medical.
The Yellows bought Soldado for £10 million back in 2015 and it’s though the Turkish giants are willing to pay €10 million for the former Spanish international.
At today’s exchange rate, that’s a loss of just over €1 million for Villarreal but that’s a good return for a fast-ageing striker who has had his problems with injuries and inconsistency.
Soldado’s experience proved vital during his first season back in Spain following a poor spell in the Premier League as he helped Villarreal to a top four finish, making a mammoth 44 appearances.
However, he only managed 11 outings last season due to injury, scoring four times and the pick of the bunch coming against rivals Valencia in the 3-1 away win to secure Europa League football.
Soldado’s contract expires in just one year and with an offer as big as €10 million said to be on the table, Villarreal feel that now may be the only opportunity they get to make a return on the investment they made in 2015.
The striker is expected to complete his move within the next few days and with only Enes Unal and Cedric Bakambu to call upon as central strikers, Fran Escriba is expected to find a replacement in the next fortnight.

Fenerbahce set to complete Kameni deal
Turkish side Fenerbahce are set to complete a deal for Malaga keeper Carlos Kameni, according to reports.
The Cameroon keeper was one of the standout players for the Andalusian club and has gained interest from a number of European sides and Fenerbahce have now contacted Malaga over a proposed deal.
Diario AS and El Mundo Deportivo are both reporting that Kameni will fly out to Turkey this week to sign a two-year contract with the option to extend to a third.
Kameni joins a list of wanted players by Fenerbahce, including former Deportivo La Coruna forward Lucas Perez, Man City’s Jesus Navas and Arsenal keeper David Ospina.
Kameni who arrived in Spain in 2004 to join Espanyol joined Malaga in 2012 and has featured in over 100 appearances for the La Liga side.
He has been capped no less than 71 times by the Cameroon national side.

Montpellier to sell Younes Belhanda
It has been revealed this afternoon, that Montpellier's star midfielder Younes Belhanda is available for as little as £14.6 million.
Current owner Louis Nicollin confirmed with french radio station RMC "I would sell Belhanda, but for under £14.5 million, i probably wouldn't."
Reports had suggested the Moroccan International was set for a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce, although the club couldn't meet the players valuation, and the player didn't seem keen when asked about the move " No, you must be crazy (to move to Fenerbahce) ."
The player has failed to live upto last years performances with a side who won Ligue 1 last season, currently sitting in 11th spot. Though at 22, he has demonstrated a lot of potential at Montpellier which could be easily improved on with a move to one of Europes top sides.
For £14.5 million, you won't find many better attacking midfielders than Belhanda, and he could make a surprise move to the Premier League or La Liga in the not too distant future
