Danny Rose's Tottenham future is up in the air after he gave a brutally honest interview criticising their transfer business.
The England international expressed his frustration at the club's inability to complete signings and - consequently - has put the Premier League on red alert.
Manchester United are among the clubs pursuing a deal with Jose Mourinho determined to add to his squad this month.
Reports have claimed they are in for Paris Saint-Germain's Serge Aurier, but a fee is yet to be agreed with the Ligue 1 giants.
And they are also keen to lure Rose away from White Hart Lane given the struggles of Luke Shaw and Daley Blind at left-back.
The 27-year-old hinted at interest in a move to Old Trafford by saying he wanted to ply his trade up north.
And the Daily Record say Rose is encouraging the Red Devils to make a move for him.
This suggests the Tottenham star has been in contact with Jose Mourinho's men as he aims to improve his current salary.
United have the financial muscle to offer him a huge contract, despite shelling out over £100million on the likes of Nemanja Matic, Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof.
Former Totteham player Graham Roberts yesterday said he thinks Mourinho's interest may have turned Rose's head.
“Not missing north a year ago when signs 5 new deal," he said on Twitter.
"Now wants to think about going north as misses home I think agent and Jose in ear!"
