Valencia have agreed a transfer fee with Inter Milan for Jeison Murillo, according to reports.
Having seen a number of top players leave the club or be put available for transfer this summer, Valencia officials intensified their efforts to close the signing of Colombian centre back Murillo earlier this week.
And, Sky Sport Italia have reported that Valencia has already reached an agreement on a five year contract with the player, and the player is focusing on a return to Spain as first team football seems difficult with the Italians, weakening the player’s chances to join his national team in the World Cup.
Valencia will initially sign the 25-year-old on a one-year loan deal, before making a permanent move to the Mestalla next summer.
Murillo is now expected to undergo a medical with Los Che and be ready for the start of the new La Liga season, replacing the outgoing Ezequiel Garay.
Having featured in Spain before, playing for Cadiz, Las Palmas and Granada, Murillo joined Inter in 2015 but has found his time in Italian football difficult.
Despite featuring 68 times for the Nerazzurri across two seasons, his future was confirmed by Inter bosses on arrival back to pre-season training earlier this summer.
