Wigan Athletic have signed their 2nd player of the January transfer window in the form of striker Angelo Henriquez.
He will join fellow South American Roger Espinoza who joined the club from MLS Side Sporting Kansas City.
The Chilean will wear the number 11 shirt at the DW Stadium, and could prove a pivotal signing for Manager Roberto Martinez with striker Arouna Kone leaving shortly for the African Nations Cup.
The 18-year old joined Manchester United at the of August from Universidad de Chile for a reported £3 million fee, although wasn’t registered in their Premier League squad for this season.
The talented youngster will see this as a perfect opportunity to showcase his talent, and put himself in a strong position to fight for a place in the Red Devils side next season.
Henriquez will be in contention to make his Wigan debut against Bournemouth in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon
