Simon Weaver and Jonathan Blezard take over Harrogate Town
ownership
Simon Weaver stays as manager as he and Jonathan Blezard become Harrogate Town's new co-owners, replacing Irving Weaver.
Simon Weaver will combine managing Harrogate Town with ownership after taking over the club alongside local businessman Jonathan Blezard.
The club's announcement brings Irving Weaver's time as owner to an end. Harrogate say he spent more than two years considering options for the club's long-term ownership before the partnership was chosen.
Weaver remains men's first-team manager. Blezard, the founder of Angstrom Sports, intends to take an active role in the club's development. The club says both new owners have committed financial support.
The Independent Football Regulator recorded both men as suitable for owner and officer roles in determinations dated 15 October and published on 16 October.
Harrogate's plans cover the men's and women's sections, the player pathway, staff and volunteers, alongside its relationship with the community foundation. The club says further details of its plans will follow.
